A man has been arrested after a 75-year-old woman was found dead in her home.
The pensioner's body was found in the property on Dalziel Street, Hamilton at around 4.30pm on Sunday (February 9).
Police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with her death.
A Police Scotsman spokesman said: "A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 75-year-old woman in Dalziel Street, Hamilton.
The man is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 11 February.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
