Man arrested and charged after 'disturbance' in Scots primary school grounds

A man has been arrested and charged after a 'disturbance' at a primary school in the Highlands.

The incident took place in the grounds of Lybster Primary School in Lybster, Caithness just after 9am on Wednesday, December 3.

On Saturday, officers from P olice Scotland confirmed that a 54-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance.

Cops said the 'circumstances of the incident' will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson from the Highlands and Islands Police Division said: "Following investigation into a disturbance that took place in the grounds of Lybster Primary School, Lybster shortly after 9.00am on Wednesday, December 3, a 54-year-old male was arrested and charged.

"The circumstances of this incident will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal."
