A man has been arrested and charged after police recovered a £336k drugs haul from an industrial estate in Larkhall.
Officers swooped on an address Strutherhill Industrial Estate yesterday (Tuesday) where they discovered over 33 kilograms of cannabis.
A 45-year-old man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today in connection with drug offences.
A Police Scotland statement released this afternoon (Wednesday), said: " Police Scotland have arrested and charged a man after a large quantity of class B drugs were found in an industrial unit in Larkhall.
"On Tuesday, 5 November, 2019 officers executed a search warrant at an address in Strutherhill Industrial Estate.
"A search of the premises found over 33 kilograms of cannabis with an estimated street value of £336,000.
Inspector Brian Lindie, of Cambuslang Police Station added: "This has been a substantial recovery by officers who conducted an intelligence-led search of the unit.
"As a result, a 45-year-old man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today (Wednesday, 6 November) in connection with drug offences.
"Information from the community is absolutely vital in helping us target those allegedly involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
"I would continue to ask anyone with information regarding drug supply to contact police via 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
