Man arrested and another hospitalised after 'fight' near Glasgow school

A man was rushed to hospital after an alleged fight took place near a Glasgow primary school.

Emergency services were called to Mossvale Road, near St Rose of Lima Primary School, in the city's east end, at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.

The alarm was raised after reports of a 'disturbance' in the area, near to the school playground.

Police arrested a 42-year-old man.

Another man, aged 40, was raced to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, and treated for an arm injuy.

Police confirmed the lunchtime incident and that an arrest had been made.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Record:"Officers were called to the report of a disturbance in Mossvale Road in Glasgow at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, October 6.

"As a result a 42 year-old man was arrested.

"A 40-year-old man was conveyed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for an arm injury."
