Man arrested amid disturbance in Glasgow flat as cops 'use battering ram' to get inside

Police have arrested a man following a disturbance at flat in Glasgow.

The incident, which occurred at a property on the city's Bain Street at around 8pm on Friday night, saw the 37-year-old arrested after officers were called to the scene.

Witnesses say police entered the building with a "battering ram".

Police Scotland confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a man causing a disturbance within a property on Bain Street in Glasgow around 8.10pm on Friday, 9 July.

“A 37-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

“No one was injured and the incident was contained to within the single property.”
