A man has been arrested after two women were assaulted on cycle paths in the Mangotsfield area.
A 32-year-old man was arrested by Avon and Somerset Constabulary following the incidents, both of which took place on Sunday morning (July 21).
The first woman was grabbed around the waist by a man at around 8.15am on the cycle path between Old Station and Rodway Hill.
A short while later, another woman was pushed from behind on the cycle path close to Pomphrey Hill.
The arrested man is currently in police custody whilst further enquiries are carried out.
Police officers will continue to patrol the area in order to provide reassurance to the public.
