A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a collision with a woman and her dog on an Ayrshire road.
The 21-year-old was walking her dog on the B742 between Mossblown and Annbank in Ayrshire when she was struck by a red Vauxhall Astra.
The incident took place at around 3.50pm on Saturday.
The woman was taken to Ayr Hospital, while her dog sadly died at the scene.
Officers from Police Scotland have said a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal regarding the incident on May 9.
