Man arrested after woman robbed at supermarket cash machine

A man has been arrested after a woman was robbed outside a supermarket in Bolton.

The woman had just withdrawn money from a cash machine outside Morrisons in Harwood when she was targeted at 6.45pm on Wednesday (November 18).

After removing her money from the machine, she then had her bank card and cash stolen.

A 31-year-old man was detained by members of the public at the scene.

Police arrived at the supermarket, in Lea Gate, soon after and arrested a man on suspicion of robbery.

He remains in custody for questioning.
