A man has been arrested after a woman pushing her toddler son in a pram was stabbed in an attempted robbery.
Christel Stainfield-Bruce, 36, said she feared she may have been targeted in a gang initiation by the attacker.
A 26-year-old man was arrested was arrested this morning on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
On Friday afternoon police were called to reports of a stabbing in north London, near Arsenal's Emirates stadium.
Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service and found the mum suffering with a stab wound to her leg.
Scotland Yard said: "The suspect, a black male 14-16yrs, approached the victim asking for directions.
"After giving them to him, he then asked the victim for her mobile.
"When she refused, he pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the back of her leg.
"He then fled the scene heading towards the Tollington and Holloway Road area.
"The victim was taken to a central London hospital where her injuries were treated. They are not life threatening or changing. She has now been discharged."
Mrs Stainfield-Bruce told the Camden New Journal: "It was really shocking to see. It's scary. It's disbelief.
"At what point do you think, when you're walking down the street, that you're at risk of being stabbed in broad daylight?
"There was no history with this person. I was just a random target. It almost felt like target practice."
