A man was arrested after a woman was found bruised in a suspected domestic assault.
Emergency services were called to a house on Heath Road, Allerton, at around 3.30am on Thursday, November 17, to reports of an assault. A large police presence, including Matrix officers and police dog units, attended the scene and found a woman with face injuries and bruising.
Officers arrested a man at the scene and took him into police custody.

Merseyside police have confirmed that a 31-year-old man was arrested for section 47 assault. The woman received medical treatment for her injuries.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We have arrested a man on suspicion of section 47 assault following a domestic incident in Allerton. At around 3.30am on Thursday 17th November, officers attended a property on Heath Road following a report of an assault.
"A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene for section 47 assault. A woman received medical treatment to a facial injury and bruising."
