A woman was found dead in Mottingham on Wednesday
(Picture: PA)A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in south east London on Wednesday morning.
Police said they were called shortly before 6am to reports of an unresponsive woman at a home in Belvoir Close, Mottingham.
Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and a 20-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police said the woman’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
A 19-year-old man was arrested as part of the Met’s investigation and he was taken into custody at a south London police station.
Enquiries to established the circumstances of the woman’s death are ongoing, said Scotland Yard.
