Man arrested after three cars allegedly nicked from Scots driveway

A man has been arrested after three cars were allegedly nicked from a driveway in Falkirk during the early hours of this morning.

The alarm was raised following the thefts in Cedar Road in the Banknock area at around 1:10am on Wednesday May 12.

Cops have since recovered an Audi Q7, but say that a Volkswagen Jetta, with the registration SW54 TEF and a Vauxhall Insignia, registration AK11 HJO remain missing.

Officers are asking anyone in the area who seen or heard anything suspicious to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.10am on Wednesday, 12 May, officers were called to the Cedar Road area of Banknock following the theft of three cars.

"An Audi Q7 has since been recovered, while a Volkswagen Jetta (SW54 TEF) and a Vauxhall Insignia (AK11 HJO) remain outstanding.

"A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and further enquiries remain ongoing.

"Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the cars should contact police on 101, quoting incident 0144 of 12 May. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous."
