Police have declared a crime scene at Hamilton on Brisbane's northside after a third suspicious house fire in recent weeks.
Emergency services were called to the property on Nudgee Road at 2:30pm, which was already engulfed in flames.
A man was arrested and is assisting police officers with their inquiries.
The building was unoccupied at the time, and nobody was injured in the blaze.
Police said the house was the same property already badly damaged by fire, along with another house next door, less than three weeks ago.
The land had been earmarked for a townhouse development.
Police said investigations were ongoing.
