A 35-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a Hamilton pensioner.
Officers were called to a property on Dalziel Street, Hamilton, at around 4.30pm on Sunday, February 9, where they discovered the body of a 75-year-old woman.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of the sudden death of a 75-year-old woman within a house on Dalziel Street, Hamilton, around 4.30pm on Sunday, 9 February, 2020.
“We can confirm that a 35-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the death of the woman.”
The spokesperson had earlier said: “The death is being treated as unexplained pending the result of a post-mortem. Enquiries are ongoing.”
