Man arrested after stun gun, drugs and £100k found in River Island bag during raid

A man was arrested after a stun gun, drugs and massive amounts of cash were found during a raid.

Police officers executed a warrant in Norris Green on Tuesday before uncovering the haul inside a house on Shottesbrrook Green .

In the dawn raid police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and a stun gun.

While searching the house officers also found around £100,000 in a plastic River Island bag.

Pictures of the find show the terrifying stun gun as well a thin, clear bags filled with a white substance.

Another image shows piles of cash laid out beside the ripped cream and black shopping bag which was used to conceal the money.

As a result of the raid, a 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a range of offences including possession of a weapon.

In a statement from Merseyside Police , a spokesperson for the force said: "We have arrested a man and recovered drugs, cash and a stun gun following a warrant carried out in Norris Green today, Tuesday, 20 August.

"At around 6am, officers attended an address in Shottesbrook Green and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, approximately £100,000 in cash and a stun gun.

"A 47-year-old man from Norris Green was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, money laundering and possession of a weapon.

"He has been taken to a local police station for questioning as enquiries continue."

This was the second house to be raided in Norris Green this week after officers also executed a warrant one mile away on Colesbourne Road.

A man and woman were arrested at the scene after a stun gun, stash of cash worth £7,000 and Class A and B drugs were seized.

The two arrested - a 21-year-old woman and 24-year-old man - are suspected of drugs and money-laundering offences,  police  confirmed.
