A man has been arrested after a stolen van crashed into a number of parked cars in Kilmarnock last night.
Emergency services raced to the incident on Hurlford Road around 7pm on Sunday as cops closed the road at two points.
A 34-year-old man was taken to the hospital following the incident.
A 34-year-old man was later arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences and the theft of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7pm on Sunday 30 May 2021, police received a report of a road traffic collision involving a van which crashed into a number of parked cars on Hurlford Road, Kilmarnock.
"One man, aged 34 was taken to hospital. A 34 year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences and theft of a motor vehicle.
"He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, 31 May, 2021."
