Man arrested after specialist police units seal off Scots street amid disturbance

A man has been arrested after specialist cops taped off Scots streets amid reports of a 'disturbance'.

We told how officers, including specialist units, were called to Lemon Street in Aberdeen at around 9pm on Thursday night.

Police have now confirmed that a 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The nature of the disturbance remains unclear but cops previously confirmed it had beed 'contained' and that there was 'no wider threat to the local community.'

Some locals reported seeing armed police in the area before areas were cordoned off while officers dealt with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended a disturbance at an address in the Lemon Street area of Aberdeen on Wednesday, 6 May, 2021

“A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, 7 May, 2021.”
