Man arrested after shots fired from motorbike on Danger Lane

Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting in Wirral.

On Wednesday, August 10, it was reported that shots were fired at a house on Danger Lane, in Moreton. Witnesses claimed to see four suspects, on two motorbikes, leaving the scene after the shooting.

No injuries were reported after the incident. However Merseyside police have now made an arrest in connection with the shooting.

A 29-year-old man from Tranmere was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries. Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information about what happened is asked to contact police.

Detective Inspector John Mullen from our Firearms Investigation Team said: "Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident continue. We’re out talking to the community and gathering information so that the people responsible for this can be brought to justice, and remove from the streets weapons and those who would use them.

"If you happened to be driving in the area last Wednesday and have dashcam footage of anything suspicious, or any bikes riding in the area, please check and let us know if there is anything that may assist our enquiries, including CCTV or doorbell footage. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact @MerPolCC on Twitter or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook or call 101 with reference 22000584765.
