Gardai have arrested a man after a car was shot in in broad daylight this morning.
Officers rushed to the scene in Clonsilla, West Dublin, after a gunman open fired at the vehicle at around 11.45am.

Nobody was injured during the attack, and investigating gardai arrested a man in his 30s after a follow up search at a house Waterville Terrace in Blanchardstown.

A spokeswoman said the man is being detained in Blanchardstown Garda Station while more searches are still underway.
They said: "Gardaí were alerted to an incident of shots fired at a vehicle on Whitechapel Road, Clonsilla, Dublin 15 this morning at 10.45a.m., Monday 22nd April, 2019. No persons injured.
"In a follow up search, Gardaí searched a house in Waterville Terrace where a man (mid 30s) was arrested in relation to the incident and taken to Blanchardstown GS where he is currently detained under Section 30, OASA, 1939. Searches are ongoing at this time."
