Man arrested after Revenue and garda raid in north Dublin sees €339k of cocaine seized

A man has been arrested and is being held by gardai tonight after a raid involving Gardai and Revenue which saw over €339k of cocaine seized.

The joint operation took place in north Dublin and targeted people suspected to be members of a local drug gang. The cocaine weighed almost 5kg with a street value of around €339,500.

The man, aged 22, is being held tonight in Swords Garda station. Members of Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Coolock Divisional Drugs unit were involved in the raid. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

A Revenue spokeswoman said: "This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
