Man arrested after reports of person 'carrying baseball bat' in Scots town


A man has been arrested after reports of a person allegedly carrying a baseball bat in the streets of Fife.

Locals called cops after children had reportedly been frightened in the Torbain area of Kirkcaldy at around 8.10pm on Wednesday.

Officers scrambled to the scene after they received "a number of calls" in relation to a disturbance on Katrine Crescent, Lindores Drive and Birnam Road.

Locals were also called to Birnam Road in the town (Google Maps)

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested and police say he is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "Around 8.10 pm on Wednesday, 5 May, 2021, police received a number of calls in relation to a disturbance on Katrine Crescent, Lindores Drive and Birnam Road, Kirkcaldy.

"No one was injured.

"A 24-year-old man has been arrested and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the incident."
