Man arrested after police swoop on 'firearms incident' near Glasgow

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged firearms incident near Glasgow.

It comes after police swooped on Addison Grove in Thornliebank, East Renfrewshire, on Monday, March 22.

A 26-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with a firearms offence.

He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm that a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with firearm offences, following an incident which took place in the Addison Grove area on Monday, March 22.

"He is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today."
