Man arrested after police spot him 'driving past crash scene on the phone'

A man was arrested after police allegedly saw him using his phone while driving past a crash scene.

Officers say they spotted the driver while dealing with a collision on Trinity Street in Bolton last night (August 25).

The man was pulled over and provided a positive breath sample, according to GMP.

A spokesman for the force alleges he blew a reading of 52 while in custody.

In a tweet, GMP Traffic said: “Last night while officers were dealing with the RTC on Trinity Street Bolton, the driver of this car decided to drive past the scene on his mobile, stopped by #ME18 he would then provide a positive breath sample #Arrested. In custody he blew 52! #fatal4 #sometimestheyjustfindus.”
