Man arrested after police race to 'disturbance' on Scots street

A man has been arrested following an alleged "disturbance" in Fife last night.

Police raced to the Cheviot Road area of Kirkcaldy after the incident happened at around 12.20am on Sunday, June 27.

Officers blocked off the road before locating a 30-year-old man.

He was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

The man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 00.20am on Sunday, 27 June, to a report of a disturbance in the Cheviot Road area of Kirkcaldy.

"A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date."
