Merseyside Police have seized a pistol and arrested a man following a warrant carried out in Garston.
At around 9.30am on Thursday, June 17, officers carried out a warrant at garages on Long Lane.
A pistol was recovered and a 60-year-old man from Mossley Hill was detained and later arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

The man was questioned by police.
Detective chief Inspector Matt Smith from the firearms investigation team said: “This weapon will now be subject of forensic analysis to establish whether it is linked to any incidents in Merseyside or elsewhere, and to whom it belongs.

"Every gun and other weapon removed from our streets makes those communities safer and this work continues on a daily basis.
“If you suspect that weapons are being stored, carried or used where you are, let us know before they are used in a serious incident. You can contact us directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers but however you get the information to us, we will take action.”
