Man arrested after police discover £100k cannabis farm in house in Urmston

A man has been arrested after police discovered a £100k cannabis farm in a house in Urmston .

The plants were found by officers on Saturday evening (October 27) following a raid at an address.

A 'substantial' cannabis farm was found across several rooms of the property.

Officers say the potential street value of the class B drug would be around £100,000.

A large amount of cash was also found and seized by police.

A man has now been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, money laundering and possession of class A drugs.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Enquiries are currently ongoing.

In a post on the GMP Trafford North Facebook page, police said: "Trafford West Neighbourhood officers attended an address in Urmston this evening.

"An adult male has been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, money laundering and possesion of class A drugs.

"A search of the property located a substantial cannabis farm within several areas of the property with a potential value of £100,000 and a large cash amount seized.

"Currently enquires are continuing and a male remains in custody for questioning.

"Taking positive action against drugs in our community remains a priority."
