Man arrested after police car flips injuring two officers in Fulham

A man has been arrested after a police car flipped in southwest London leaving two officers injured.

Metropolitan Police officers attempted to stop a car near North End Road in Fulham on Saturday just after 5pm.

The car failed to stop and collided with a marked police car, causing it overturn, the Met said in a statement.

Two officers were treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the car in question has been arrested on suspicion of a string of offences.

The man was taken to a central London police station where he remains in custody.

Photographs of the scene show a number of shoppers on the busy high street at the time of the crash.

North End Road between A3218 Lillie Road and Sedlescombe Road has been closed to traffic.

Hammersmith and Fulham police urged people to avoid the area.

Additional officers, the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended.
