Man arrested after people injured and cars damaged in Knowle West

A man will appear in court today in connection with an incident which left a number of people injured and several cars damaged.

Police were called to Filwood Broadway, in Knowle West, on Saturday at 11pm.

A 35-year-old man was arrested nearby at 11.10pm.

He has since been charged with causing actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, drink driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and driving without insurance.

He will appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court today.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: "The man has been remanded in custody pending his appearance in court charged with causing actual bodily harm, dangerous driving, drink driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and driving without insurance.

"A number of people received injuries not believed life-changing or life-threatening and several cars were damaged in the incident."
