A man has been arrested after he was caught carrying this military-style knife in the Gay Village.

Police made the discovery in Manchester city centre on Saturday night (March 14).

Officers posted a picture of the knife on the GMP city centre Twitter page showing the military-style, black knife against a ruler.

The blade measures at around 8cm long.

The knife also has a partially-serrated edge.

The tweet said: "This Dangerous Knife was taken off the street in the Village City Centre last night.
