Man arrested after hand grenades and €2.5million worth of drugs found in Co Meath

Hand grenades and €2.5million worth of cannabis have been seized in a house raid.

Gardai confirmed a man was arrested after the search of a property Gormanston, Co Meath.

Cannabis herb and two hand grenades were by officers from Ashbourne and the Ballymun Garda Drugs Unit.

The Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called to the scene and made the devices safe.

Man, 20s, arrested and cannabis worth €31,000 seized in Lucan, west Dublin 

One man was arrested at the location and is currently detained at Ashbourne Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.

A garda spokesman said investigations are continuing.
