Gardai arrested a man after seizing drugs worth up to €23,000 in Co Kildare on Saturday.
Cannabis herb along with a small quantity of cocaine was found by officers from the Naas Detective Unit and Naas Drug Unit along with local units and the Regional Support Unit.
They also seized a quantity of cash and drug paraphernalia.
A man in his 30s was arrested and detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Naas Garda station and has been released without charge.
The arrest came after gardai carried out a number of planned searches in the Naas, Kilcullen, and Clane areas over the weekend.
A garda spokesman said: “On Saturday gardaí from the Naas Detective Unit and Naas Drug Unit assisted by local units and the Regional Support Unit, carried out a number of planned searches in the Naas, Kilcullen and Clane areas.
“Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €23,000 (pending analysis) along with a small quantity of cocaine (pending analysis) was seized at one of the residences. A quantity of cash and drug paraphernalia was also seized.
“A male in his 30s was arrested later and detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Naas Garda station and has since been released without charge, a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.”
