Scott Senter of Sugar Grove was charged with aggravated fleeing to elude, improper lane usage and other traffic-related crimes.
A 28-year-old man was arrested May 25 after speeding off from a DeKalb County sheriff’s deputy who was trying to pull him over in southwest suburban Sandwich.
Scott Senter of Sugar Grove was charged with aggravated fleeing to elude, improper lane usage, speeding over 35 mph, driving with a revoked license and a failure to appear for an aggravated assault warrant, according to a statement from the DeKalb County sheriff’s office.
Just after 3 a.m., a DeKalb County deputy attempted to pull over an eastbound vehicle that had improperly changed lanes on South County Line Road, the sheriff’s office said. The deputy activated his emergency lights, but the vehicle continued and later accelerated to 102 mph as it turned south onto South Main Street.
The deputy deactivated the emergency lights and did not pursue, the sheriff’s office said. Later that morning, the Kendall County sheriff’s office located the vehicle about 8:30 a.m. in Millington and identified Senter as the driver. A DeKalb County deputy took him into custody where he later admitted to being the driver.
Senter was taken to DeKalb County Jail. No further information was available.
