A man was arrested after driving on a sidewalk late Friday morning in Gold Coast and crashing into a high-end boutique, seriously injuring himself.
No one else was hurt in the crash around 11:20 a.m. at the Dior store in the 900 block of North Rush Street, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.
The man was placed into custody and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
It’s unclear why he was driving on the sidewalk.
