A man has been arrested after a driver attempted to run people over and a woman was kidnapped.
Police were called to reports a man was trying to run people over on Tawton Avenue, in Hattersley, Hyde.
There were then further reports a man kidnapped a woman and he was in possession of a gun at an address on the street.
Specialist officers were deployed to the scene.

A short time later a man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on Chapman Road.
He is being held on suspicion of kidnap and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The incident unfolded at around 8.40pm on Tuesday, May 19.
Residents in the area reported seeing a police helicopter as well as armed police throughout Tuesday night.
Police tape remains in place at the scene while an investigation takes place.
A statement from Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called at around 8.40pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 to reports of a man in a car trying to run people over on Tawton Avenue in the Hattersley area of Hyde.
"Further reports were made that the man had kidnapped a woman and was in possession of a firearm at an address on the street.
"Specialist officers were deployed to the scene and a man in his 20s was arrested a short time later on Chapman Road on suspicion of kidnap and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear.
"No injuries have been reported and a cordon is in place at the scene as investigators begin their enquiries."
