Man arrested after dog walker allegedly racially abused and assaulted

A man has been arrested after a dog walker in Fife was allegedly racially abused and physically assaulted.

Officers from Police Scotland have cuffed and charged a 39-year-old in connection with the incident which took place at around 3.40pm on Boxing Day.

It's believed the incident took place near the old railway bridge on Gallows Loan, known locally as The Grange in the Blairhilll area of Fife.

It was reported a 55-year-old man was racially abused while walking his dog before being physically assaulted.

A Police Scotland statement read: "A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
