POLICE have arrested and charged a man in connection with the death of a man in Aberdeen.
At around 12.35am on Thursday, officers were called to a report of a man found seriously injured in the Pennan Road area following a disturbance at a property in Coningham Terrace.
Emergency services attended the scene and a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police said the man's next of kin are aware and enquiries remain ongoing.
Detective Inspector James Callander from the major investigation team said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at what is an extremely difficult time.
"Officers are offering support and keeping them updated with the progress of our investigation.
"Additional officers remain in the area and anyone with concerns can approach these officers.”
