Man arrested after cops swoop on Aberdeen street amid flat 'disturbance'

A man has been arrested after cops and ambulances swarmed a Scots street.

We told how emergency services raced to the scene at Glenbervie Road in the Torry area of Aberdeen early this morning.

It has now emerged that police were called amid reports of a 'disturbance' in a flat from neighbours.

At least five police cars and two ambulances were seen near the scene after being called at 5.25am.

Worried locals reported that police tape had been set up and sniffer dogs were also spotted in the area.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said a man had been arrested and that the general public were not at danger during the operation.

She said: "We received a report of a disturbance within a property at Glenbervie Road in Aberdeen around 5.25am on Thursday, 15 October.

"A 36-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the incident, which was contained to a single property with no wider risk to the public.

"Nobody was injured.

"The local community are thanked for their understanding while officers attended this incident."
