Man arrested after cash and items stolen from south Dublin shop

Dublin

Cash and a number of items were stolen from a shop in south Dublin yesterday.

The robbery happened at around 5:30pm in Dalkey.

A man, aged in his 50's, was arrested later on in the evening.

He is currently being held in Dun Laoghaire garda station.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating a robbery that occurred at a shop in Dalkey, Co. Dublin on the 11^th April 2022 at 5.30pm. A number of items and a sum of cash.

"A man in his 50s was later arrested and is detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station."
