Man arrested after car ploughs into traffic lights on Scots road

A man has been arrested after a car ploughed into traffic lights and a fence on a Scots street.

An image shows damage in the aftermath of the collision on Pitbauchlie Bank in Dunfermline yesterday.

Police have now arrested a 31-year-old man who is due to appear in court.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8 pm on Monday, 3 May 2021, police received a report of a car having crashed into a fence and traffic lights at Pitbauchlie Bank, Dunfermline.

"Police attended and a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with alleged road traffic offences.

"He is expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court at a later date.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
