Man arrested after car crashes and overturns on Scots road

A man has been arrested after a car crashed and overturned on a Scots road on Saturday night.

Emergency services raced to the incident at Govan Cross, Glasgow, around 9.30pm last night.

Photographs from the scene show a white car overturned on the road as there appears to be damage to the front of the vehicle.

Police quickly taped off the scene as they dealt with the incident.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the smash.

A 40-year-old man has now been arrested and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged road traffic offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.30pm on Saturday, 18 September, 2021, police and emergency services were called to a road crash at Govan Cross, Glasgow, where a car had overturned.

"No details of any injuries.

"A 40-year-old man has been arrested and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged road traffic offences following the incident."
