Massachusetts police have arrested a man for allegedly breaking and entering at the mansion of American football star Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

The couple’s home is located at 112 Woodland Road in Brookline, Massachusetts, but has not been occupied by Brady and Bündchen since they relocated to Florida, following the quarterback’s move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from the New England Patriots earlier this year.

Police were called to the residence at around 6am on Monday morning, after someone reported a break-in when multiple alarms in the house went off.

The authorities then arrested a 34-year-old man, who was described as homeless, according to WFXT.

The name of the suspect has not yet been released, but he is expected to be charged later on Monday, according to NBC Connecticut.

No other information on the break-in was immediately available.

It was announced last week that the famous couple had put the Massachusetts property back on sale, after initially listing it in August 2019.

When it was first listed for sale, Brady and Bündchen put it up for $39.5m (£29.6m), before they reduced it to $33.9m (£25.4m) two months later. They eventually took it off the market when the coronavirus pandemic hit.

According to the Boston Business Journal, the property has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a yoga studio. It spans 9,716 square feet and includes a 2,400-square-foot detached guest house.
