Man arrested after body is found at Leeds city centre apartment

A man was arrested on suspicion of selling drugs after a man was found dead in an apartment in Leeds city centre.

West Yorkshire Police officers were called to the property, which is in an apartment block in Bowman Lane, at around 3.44pm on Monday, April 13.

They were called by paramedics who found the body of a 32-year-old man.

An investigation was launched and police arrested and questioned a 53-year-old man on suspicion of suppling drugs.

A police spokesman said the man has been released on bail and the investigation continues.

He added: "Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death which is currently being treated as unexplained."

The name of the man who died has not been released by police.
