A man has been arrested after a biker was knocked down in a hit-and-run in Rusholme.
The smash happened on Wilmslow Road, near the Shell garage, at around 5.30pm last night (Wednesday). Emergency services were called after a car and motorbike crashed at the scene, police said.
The car then drove away. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Officers said a man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and attention. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At approximately 5:30pm yesterday (2 November 2022), officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a motorbike on Wilmslow Road in Manchester.
"The car did not remain at the scene. The driver of the motorbike was taken to hospital to receive treatment for injuries that are serious but not thought to be life-threatening.
"One man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and attention."
