One man has been arrested after a big drugs seizure during a daylight Garda raid in north Dublin.
Officers carried out a search of a residence at Lissadell Grove in Malahide at around 1:30pm on Tuesday.
During the extensive search, they found approximately 3.7kg of suspected cannabis herb worth an estimated value of €73,190.
The arrested man, in his 30s, was nabbed by Gardai at the scene and is currently being detained at Coolock Garda Station.
A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "At approximately 1:30pm on Tuesday, 14th July 2020, Gardaí carried out a search of a residence at Lissadell Grove, Malahide, County Dublin.
"During the course of this search, approximately 3.7 kilograms of suspected cannabis herb was seized with an estimated value of approximately €73,190 (pending analysis)."
He added: "A man in his late 30s was arrested at the scene. He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Coolock Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing."
