Soto allegedly jumped out of the vehicle and began shooting at police, then got back into the vehicle and drove off, Hanania said. He eventually abandoned the vehicle in the 8000 block of 42nd Street and ran away on foot.

Two passengers who also tried to run, one male and one female, were immediately arrested, Hanania said. Soto was not caught until 7 p.m., when police found him near the 7800 block of West Ogden Avenue.

No one was injured in the incident, Hanania said. Information about charges was not immediately available.
