Man arrested after allegedly damaging multiple parked cars and homes on Blyth street

A man has been arrested for allegedly damaging parked cars and homes on a street in Blyth.

The 34-year-old is currently in police custody following an incident on Queen's Gardens early on Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the scene at around 6.45am to reports of a disturbance .

Officers attended and it appeared that a man was causing damage to a number of stationary vehicles and properties in the street.

A 34-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of affray and is currently in police custody.

A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "Officers will be in the area carrying out reassurance patrols and conducting door to door inquiries.
