Man arrested after alleged serious sexual assault in Glasgow

A man has been arrested following an alleged serious sexual assault in Glasgow.

Forensic investigators had been spotted by residents of Govanhill following reports of an attack in a nearby flat on Friday.

Officers have since confirmed that a 47-year-old man has been arrested.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A 47 year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault that took place within a flat in Govanhill on Friday, 20 March, 2020.

"Police enquiries are continuing."
