A man has been arrested after an alleged attempted murder on a Scots street.
We told yesterday how cops had launched a probe after the alleged attack on a 43-year-old man on Renfrew Road in Paisley around 8pm on Friday night.
The man was rushed by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.
A man has now been arrested in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesman said enquiries were ongoing into the incident.
He said: "A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a 43-year-old man, following an incident on Renfrew Road at around 8pm on Friday, 30 April, 2021.
"The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he remains in a stable condition.
"Enquires are continuing."
