A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a large quantity of jewellery worth approximately £200,000 was stolen from a business in Middleton.
Police say they were on patrol in the early hours of Thursday morning (May 25) when they were called to reports of two males forcing entry to a business near Middleton Way.
Officers have since recovered a 'substantial' amount of the stolen jewellery. A 40-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of burglary and was taken into police custody for questioning.

Inspector Graham Cooke, of GMP Rochdale Neighbourhood Team, said: "Tackling burglary is a force priority for Greater Manchester Police and I hope the arrest today demonstrates that commitment.
"I would also urge anyone else who has been a victim of burglary to make a report so we can investigate."
