Man arrested abroad in connection with Jamie Lee murder to appear in court

A man arrested abroad in connection with the murder of Jamie Lee in 2017 is to appear in court next week.

23-year-old Jamie Lee died following an incident in Castlemilk on July 8, 2017.

A 25-year-old, who was arrested in December 2019, is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

A Police statement released this morning (Saturday) confirmed: "Police Scotland can confirm that a man arrested abroad on a European Arrest Warrant in connection with the murder of Jamie Lee in 2017 is expected to appear in court next week.

"The 25-year-old, who was arrested in December 2019, is anticipated to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 27 January.

"Mr Lee, 23, died following an incident in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow on Saturday, 8 July, 2017."
